We are looking for native Japanese speakers to help our students practice speaking Japanese. Our service is a little different in that we aim to keep student interest levels high by connecting them with native speakers they find interesting or appealing in some way. For example, students might have glasses-fechi, yukata-fechi, or maid-fechi. In the trainer role, you would create one or more fechi “looks” from which students can choose, publish the times you are available, and let students schedule appointments. You’d then meet online for Japanese conversation practice wearing the appropriate clothes, makeup, accessories, etc., to portray the chosen fechi look. You can learn more on the About and FAQ pages.
Trainers are similar to hostesses because, much like in a hostess club, your primary job is to look nice (according to whatever the chosen fechi is) and chat with customers. However, there are many important differences, including (1) your work can be done from the safety and comfort of your own home, (2) there’s no pressure or expectation of anything more than conversation, (3) there is no concern or possibility of any physical touching, (4) you don’t have to drink excessive amounts of alcohol, and (5) you don’t have to inhale dangerous levels of secondhand smoke. You just need to be friendly, chatty, and support customers as they practice speaking Japanese. You don’t need any actual teaching experience but you must be a native Japanese speaker and a good conversationalist since most customers will rely on you to keep the conversation moving.
If you are interested, please contact us and we’ll be in touch! For successful candidates, there is an initial payment for completing your profile, additional payments for each fechi look you offer, and then payments for each conversation practice session you complete.
Can you find and recruit top level talent from Japan? We are looking for help recruiting for the Japanese Language Trainer position above. Payment is a $25 referral fee for anyone who joins and successfully completes at least one online chat session. Limitations apply to how many referrals can be made and we may need to “throttle” your referrals to match the growth of the site over time. Contact us to let us know a little about you and we’ll get back to you if you might be a good match.
